Join us on October 25th, 2026 for the first concert of the 2026-2027 season.
Become entranced in the fire and soul of Spanish music, as we celebrate the rich history of the Spanish culture through music.
Musical Selections Include:
- Glinka's Souvenir d’une nuit d’été à Madrid
- Bizet's Carmen Suite
- Ravel's Balero
- Granados' Intermezzo
$10 admission for adults, $5 for children.
Scenes Georges Bizet's Carmen
French composer, George Bizet adapted Carmen into an opera from a French novella written by French author, Prosper Mérimée. When Bizet composed the opera, he and his librettist wrote the entire script in French.
The opera is set in Seville, Spain.

Located on the campus of Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina, Shortess Chapel will host the Palmetto Chamber Orchestra's first concert of the year 2026-2027 season.
Free public parking lots are available on campus.
